Food at The Tobermory Hotel

Raised on Mull,  Head chef Helen Swinbanks uses her extensive local knowledge to produce superb dishes using the best of local produce. During your stay you can breakfast on local sausage, Chef's own Granola, Tobermory smoked kippers or try her signature dish - smoked haddock poached in cream

In the evening dine with us in our new

Island Diner

The best Mull has to offer - at a reasonable price.

Dining at The Tobermory Hotel has changed. All of us are looking for quality at a reasonable price. The Island Diner offers just that. Still using the best of Mull produce, prepared from fresh and cooked in her own kitchen, Chef Helen Swinbanks has created an exciting new menu. There may be an American influence but the emphasis is on Scotland and the Isle of Mull in particular and the chips are very much traditional Scottish, NOT ‘Fries’.

Gourmet Burgers include the pure Island beef “Island Burger” and the Mull Wild Venison Burger. Or try a Caesar Salad with Isle of Mull scallops or a Diner Sandwich with local free range pork. Watch out for specials in which seafood will feature strongly.
Helen has also given in to her love of ice cream and is presenting a range of  her own home made flavours. Fancy a Tobermory Malt Whisky Custard or a Gaelic Coffee and Chocolate flavour? It will be interesting to see what she comes up with in the course of the season. Ideas gratefully accepted! (But no guarantee of production!)

The Island Diner is open now in the evenings for dinner. Prices around £15 for 2 courses.
